Today I broke out my book “Frozen Desserts”.  It is well worth the current Amazon $3 used price  Our next door neighbors invited us over for dinner tonight and we decided to bring dessert.  The only hurdle was that Alan doesn’t eat dairy, so that eliminated ice cream and sherbet.  However, sorbet was not out of the question.  Looking into the back yard, we had a lot of herbs.  I settled on a riesling & purple basil sorbet.  It was relatively easy and was the perfect way to finish a nice summer evening.
