Strawberry Basil Negroni
I hesitate to call this a Negroni because I’m a purist, and this strays a bit, but here goes. Also, I like my drinks on the larger size.
2 Fresh, Local Strawberries
1 tsp Turbinado Sugar
3 basil leaves
3 dsh Outerbridge’s Sherry Rum Pepper Sauce
1.5 oz Tanquerey Gin
1.5 oz Aperol
1.5 oz Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth
In a shaker, muddle the sugar, torn basil leaves, pepper sauce and cleaned, halved strawberries. Add gin, aperol & ice. Shake. Stir in vermouth. Double strain into a chilled glass. Enjoy
