Hi everyone, this is Chris from Perfect Little Bites. I wanted to answer some common questions about COVID-19, and how I’m handling it. First of all, I’m still open for business. While I did take a few weeks off when it first started, I’ve been doing events since mid-June now. A couple things. First, is mask wearing. I am always wearing a double-mask when I come to your house. Before I get out of my car, I put on an N95 mask, and then cover it up with a cloth mask. That’s going to stay on until the end of your party, and I will wear it until I get back in my car. Occasionally, I might need to remove it to take a water break, or taste something. But, for the most part, I’m going to have two masks on at all times. You don’t need to have them if you’re in your home. It’s going to be hard dining and interacting with other guests. I understand that. If you want to do a party outside, that’s great. Soon we’ll be in Autumn, and Winter after that. I know that outdoor dining probably won’t be an option then, but I wanted to let you know I’ve had some guests do really cool things with outdoor dining.
As far as dishes and silverware go, I’ve always brought my own. But when this thing started, I surveyed all my pre-existing customers, and asked them what they wanted, and what their expectations were. Almost everyone said that they would be more comfortable using their own dishes and silverware, so we can definitely do that. If you want to pre-set your table with silverware, that’s a great step. If you don’t have silverware and place settings for 12 people for five course dinner, I understand, and I can still bring dishes and silverware as I always have. You can also rent china and silverware. I’ve had a few guests do that. Either way, rest assured that all of your dishes and silverware are going to be properly washed, rinsed and sanitized, as has always been done.
I’m taking cleanliness and sanitation very seriously. I bring surface disinfectant and hand sanitizer. I’m washing my hands frequently. I’m using gloves and changing them frequently. I have always been ServSafe certified, and have taken the ServSafe courses for COVID awareness, prevention and best practices. I wanted to let everyone that my business is open, and that these are some of the things I’m doing. As always, you can reach out to me if you have any questions. You can send me a message at perfectlittlebites@gmail.com, or call me on my cell phone at 484-319-9030. I really hope you can still have that spectacular party, the anniversary dinner, the birthday dinner…as long as you’re keeping them on the smaller side, and exercising a little physical distancing when possible. Thanks so much, and have a great day.
